Stewardship Committee
Purpose: This committee is concerned with congregational use of what God first gave us, our time, talents and treasurers.
Time and Talent Stewardship
Encourage all members to become actively involved in the life of Prince of Peace.
Develop a volunteer statement or time and talent survey annually in November, to assist members in communication of their willingness to serve.
Communicate results to individual committees.
Monetary Stewardship
Through continued education encourage Biblical Stewardship of proportional first-fruit giving.
Through church publication, keep members abreast of current financial status.
Review special offerings and forward suggestions to the Church Council.
Budget
Solicit requests from committee and review with Executive Committee
Assist Executive Committee with budget preparation.
Finance (Counters and Recorders)
Have guidelines for offering counters and Financial Secretary
Recruit and schedule offering counters and recorder.
Assure Financial Secretary accurate accounting of all monies.
Furnish Financial Secretary copies of all monetary deposits.
Memorial and Special Gifts
Maintain a current "wish list" to the congregation.
Communicate through church publications the current standing of designated accounts.
Church History
Maintain a written chronological history of church happenings.
Maintain a pictorial history of church activities.
Provide photographer when required for above
Environmental Stewardship
Provide opportunity for Ecological Stewardship, i.e. recycling, soil conservation and possible community gardens.
