UPCOMING
ADULT EDUCATION TODAY: "CROSSINGS" BIBLE STUDY
Today we will continue with our "Crossings" bible study after worship. Each week, a person from our congregation will present a "slice of life" which we will print in the bulletin for you to read. In their "slice," they will talk about one of the vocations to which they have been called (e.g. "father," "nurse," "plumber," etc.) During our adult education hour (10:15-11:00), we will talk about their slice of life and make connections between it and today's gospel reading. Come and join our discussion in the East Fellowship Hall. Today we thank Marcie Albrecht for sharing with us!
LAST WEDNESDAY LENTEN WORSHIP SERVICE, THIS WEEK
Our final Wednesday Lenten worship service for 2008 will take place in the main sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. this Wednesday, March 12th. We will conclude our look at THE TEN COMMANDMENTS and the continuing role of God's law in our lives as Christians who have been set free by the good news of Christ. Come and join us!
Fifth Grade Communion Class
The following Prince of Peace 5th-graders are being instructed in the meaning and practice of Holy Communion, and will be receiving the sacrament for the first time on Passion Sunday, March 16th at our 9:00 a.m. worship service: Tyler Haake Jared Hill

Maundy Thursday Worship at Prince of Peace: March 20th, 7:00 p.m.
A service of Holy Communion will be held on Maundy Thursday - we remember our Lord who came to us as a humble servant. He gives us his life so that we may live a new life, and gives us a new commandment: that we love one another as he has loved us.
Good Friday Tenebrae Service: March 21st, 7:00 p.m.
On Good Friday, we will share in a tenebrae ("shadows") service in remembrance of our Lord's complete sacrifice for us on his cross.
Saturday "Vigil" Service, March 22nd, 5:00 PM
This service will not be a full-blown Easter celebration. We will explore the vigil's great themes: light out of darkness, life out of death, order out of chaos, freedom out of slavery. Come and join us!
HE IS RISEN! The Season of Easter Begins, March 23rd with the Festival of the Resurrection. On this most holy day, we celebrate our Lord's victory over the powers of sin, death, and evil in our world. He is risen indeed!

Get Involved in Planning for Youth Ministry at Prince of Peace! Special Meetings: April 4th-5th
A representative of Tentmakers Youth Minister Services will be at Prince of Peace in early April to help our congregation form a "Youth Ministry Management Plan" (YMMP).
Input and ideas are needed from AS MANY PEOPLE AS IS POSSIBLE from our congregation to form a YMMP which will serve our congregation well for years to come. The YMMP will also serve as the basis of a job description for a youth minister, whom we will begin searching for in the next few months.
You do not need to have young children involved in our church to be an important and valuable contributor to these meetings! We want a good cross-section of our congregationfrom all age-groupsrepresented in this important process. Get involved in these meetings, and get excited about what we can do for God through our youth ministry at Prince of Peace!
The YMMP formation process will take place in two sessions:
Friday, April 4th, from 6:30 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 5th, from 8:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. (Lunch served at church).
Try to participate in the entire process, or as much of it as you can!
