Confirmation Instruction at

Prince of Peace

Prince of Peace 7th and 8th graders are strongly encouraged to participate in confirmation instruction.  Older youths who have not been confirmed are welcome to join our regular confirmation classes or to set up an alternative study course with the pastor. 

Confirmation is a two-year program designed to help our children grow in their faith through the study of God's Word.  Parental guidance and involvement plays a key role in the process.  In 2007-8 we are focusing on the book of Acts, the teachings of Saint Paul and Martin Luther, and discussing how the basic doctrines of our Lutheran Christian heritage apply to our everyday lives. 

In addition to the "knowledge" component, confirmation helps young people establish good worship, devotional, and study habits which will serve our children well as they face the challenges of life as Christians.

Along with their regular homework and service projects, our kids enjoy regular fun and fellowship events throughout the year.

Currently we have twenty kids involved in the program.  They meet from September through April at 7:00 each Wednesday night with the pastor.
