Membership

Membership Classes at Prince of Peace

You can become a member of Prince of Peace at any time. People become members by Affirmation of Faith, by Baptism, or by transfer of membership.

If you are considering transferring your membership to Prince of Peace from another congregation, we encourage you to contact your current congregation, if possible, and notify them of your intentions.

Even though they are not required, we strongly encourage all new members and visitors to attend membership classes. These take place twice a year at Prince of Peace, typically in October and April. At membership classes, new members have a chance to make connections with other people coming into the congregation, ask questions about our Lutheran Christian heritage, and learn more about the specific ministries of our congregation. After completing the classes, new members are formally received at Prince of Peace during the 9:00 a.m. worship service.
